I went to Hinckley Pottery today and worked on these cups.  I printed the pattern on the left with a tampon dipped into black iron oxide.  I used the side of a calligraphy  brush as a stamp to create the pattern on the right.  They are about to go in the kiln for a glaze firing.

The glaze and oxide will melt in the kiln so the surface decoration will run and blur.  Check back next week to see how they turn out!
